Wellington North Supporting Improvement Program Grants

Wellington North’s Community Improvement Program, Grants and Donations Community Development Fund continues to see a strong response.

Businesses and organizations have turned to the township in applications which was recently given approval.

Among grants given include Arthur Greenhouses and Shaveta Kang Physiotherapy with organizations such as the Hayden’s Hope Foundation going to support Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

Councilor Steve McCabe says its great so many have shown interest in the program.

“It’s nice to see local businesses are still using this to improve their locations and this is a fund that we have fund for our businesses. I want to thank Dale for making this possible as well.” said McCabe.

The approval for grants towards the businesses and organizations was given at a Wellington North council meeting.

Up to $ 2,500 to Shaveta Kang Physiotherapy Professional Corp at
190 Main Street South in Mount Forest
• $ 1,500 to Arthur Greenhouses at 7460/7470 Second Line, Arthur
• Up to $ 1,000 to I’m So Bad at 110 Main Street North in Mount
Forest

• $1,806.87 to the Hayden’s Hope Foundation to support Childhood
Cancer Awareness month and the inaugural “Strike Out Cancer Ball
Tournament and Dance”
• $200.00 to provide two hours of free skating on Nov 25th to support
the Arthur Countdown to Christmas 2022 celebrations
