A community hub in Stratford is gaining more ground.
City officials are looking into options of what could be available in terms of fundraising for the development of the Cooper site.
The first phase of the hub project was awarded to Kethcum Canada INC at a cost of $36,160. Part of the work will look into fundraising and available support.
Staff say the capital construction cost of the hub came in at whopping $67 million in 2019 with it not being known if the city would be eligible for federal or provincial support for construction of the project.
The reason for the uncertainty of government support comes from previous commitments being withdrawn after the 2018 provincial election.
