With this week marking Fire Prevention Week, the St Marys fire department is sharing the message to everyone to make sure they have a planned escape.
Fire Chief Richard Anderson says this year, the goal is for everyone to understand in the event of a fire, you may have as little as two minutes to get out safely from the time you hear smoke alarms.
This week will include various events with the fire department including an open house held
Wednesday night from 6-8pm at their new fire hall.
