Sollio Agriculture says it will be closing six active locations of Ontario Grain and exit grain marketing across Ontario.
Among those hit by the closure will include a location in Palmerston.
As the wind down process continues, Sollio says Ontario Grain will honour all existing contracts and fulfill its obligations to farm customers, employees and business patterns for an orderly transition.
Sollio still plans to serve clients for the remainder of the harvest season at a reduce capacity.
Ontario Grain plans to initiate a sale process of its assets with prospective buyers.
