The Wellington County OPP is trying to locate the driver in a collision early this morning in Mapleton Township that may have serious injuries.
Officers responded to the single-vehicle collision at around 1:30 this morning on Elora Street North in Alma.
Initial reports indicated a red van struck a pole and the driver fled the scene on foot.
Emergency services responded but could not locate the driver.
The roadway remained closed for the ongoing investigation and the whereabouts and identity of the driver is unknown.
