Accused Gives False Name, Obstructs Officer in Bluewater

Huron County OPP have charged a resident of Scarborough with a slew of offenses after a traffic stop in Bluewater.

On September 6th at around 6:48pm, a Huron OPP officer was conducting RADAR enforcement when a driver was stopped for speeding on London Road.

The driver failed to properly identify himself and gave a false name.

The accused was arrested for obstructing a peace officer and taken into custody. A search found the accused to be in possession of a flick knife.

The 25 year old has been charged with Obstructing a Peace Officer, Impersonation with Intent to Avoid Arrest and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.

The accused will appear in Goderich court on October 17th.
