Stratford Police investigating Gunpoint Robbery at Erie Street Gas Station Last Thursday

Shortly before 8:30 pm an unknown male entered station and displayed a gun, described as pistol, while demanding money from the till. The money was provided and the suspect left the store without further incident.

The Stratford Police Service is currently investigating a gunpoint robbery that occured at the Mobil Gas Station at 180 Erie Street in Stratford last Thursday, August 25th.

Shortly before 8:30 pm an unknown male entered the station and displayed a gun, described as a pistol to the lone employee at the store, while demanding money from the till. The money was provided and the suspect left the store without further incident.

Video surveillance shows the suspect approaching the store from the St. David Street area and leaving in the same direction.

They are described as black male, 5 foot six to 5 foot eight inches in height, with an average build. At the time of the offence he were wearing a faded black Adidas sweater and black track pants. The hood was over the suspect’s head and he was wearing a face covering with other their eyes visible.

The suspect was also wearing a blue Reebok cap, and blue or grey running shoes with white laces and one of the toes was wrapped in black material. He also was carrying a black and white Adidas backpay over his right shoulder.

If anyone in that area has video surveillance from the time of the incident they are also asked to contact police.
