Earlier this month, the news was announced Heidi Schlumpf had lost her battel against Stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
Throughout her 16 month battle, Heidi remained strong and as positive as she always was and challenged everyone to give and donate with the goal of $100,000 for cancer research.
At the time of her passing, the goal was around $16,000 short which has sparked the community to rise and reach the goal.
Among them include Bakelaar Jewellers in Listowel who are calling on the community to give.
Karen Bakelaar says its all about remembering what Heidi had wanted, a future for everyone.
Bakelaar says these challenges can never be forgotten.
The goal for $100,000 is now under $10,000 and Bakelaar says the community always comes together, and its one which can be reached.
