Downtown Gorrie on Wednesday nights is the place to be for vehicle enthusiasts of all kinds with the help of Gorrie Nights.

While the night features a slew of vehicles and local support for businesses, the main purpose is to bring neighbours and friends together again or to meet with new people.

The weekly meet and greet event has no registration cost for those who want to show off their vehicle and will continue to meet throughout the summer and fall until colder weather arrives.

Liam Goudy with Gorrie Nights says its more than just a car show to showcase your hot rod, any vehicle is welcome to come and be included.

“Big truck guys, the jeep guys, motorcycles bring your Harley out, bring your Honda out even your dirt bike. We had 5 quads here last Wednesday. It’s not just exclusive to cars we just want it to be a community building event that carries on.” said Goudy.

Gorrie nights runs every Wednesday night on the Main Street in downtown Gorrie.

Various shops downtown remain open during the show to continue local support.

“We encourage everyone to come down and walk around. Get to know Gorrie, get to know the people. We’ve been tucked away for so long and in today’s society nobody even knows their neighbour anymore”
