Nominations for the 2022 municipal election has now closed.
Candidates for council and school board trustees officially closed as of 2pm on Friday which locally has seen some councilors and mayors be acclaimed.
In Minto, Dave Turton has been acclaimed as mayor following George Bridge announcing he would not be seeking re-election

In North Perth Todd Kasenberg and Julian George both seek the vote for mayor on October 24th.
Across North Perth, both Doug Kellum and Colin Burrowes will go for deputy mayor
The Elma Ward, currently held by Dave Johnston, Matt Duncan and Allan Rothwell will see Jamie Pynn and David Ludington also make a run.
Three will be elected in the Listowel ward which will include Neil Anstett, Matt Richardson, Grace Harper, Sarah Blazek, Yasmin Vanos and Darrell Weber.
Two Wallace Wards will be elected with Lee Ann Adriessen, Marc Noordam and Paul Horn each seeking votes.
