School boards across Ontario are planning out the overall situation regarding online learning heading into the fall.
The province is requiring boards to offer remote learning as an option for next year, however due to the massive number of declines, its becoming an issue to offer a full virtual option including with local boards.
The Upper Grand District School Board says 166 elementary students are enrolled for virtual learning next year while only 91 elementary and 67 secondary are enrolled for virtual learning with the Bluewater District School Board.
The government is providing school boards with a $304 million COVID-19 Learning Recovery Fund.
