The Stratford-Perth Humane Society says it’s emergency food bank towards supporting pet owners from the pandemic is expanding to meet the demand.
The humane society which also runs an operation in Kitchener-Waterloo started The Pet Pantry in 2020, looking to address the need for service when unemployment began to skyrocket.
The demand for the programs till remains high.
The Humane Society has announced they have partnered with the Stratford House of Blessing and Salvation Army to serve all of Perth County.
The Pet Pantry runs entirely on donations, accepting dog and cat food, as well as other items such as cat litter, animal bedding and collapsible bowls.
