On Thursday June 2nd, Stratford police were contacted regarding a theft from the Avondale Cemetery.
Police were informed a Jesus statue was taken off a family tombstone between May 19th and May 22nd.
The statue was removed from the centre of the tombstone which is described as 22 inches in height and weighs around 50 pounds.
There are no known suspects at this time and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-271-4141.
Stratford Police suggest anyone with movable or removable items on or around family tombstone are accounted for and to report any thefts.
