Huron East Resident Flees on Dirt Bike, Faces Multiple Charges

Accused to appear in court in Goderich

A Huron East resident is facing a series of driving related charges after a recent incident that took place near Walton.

On May 21st at approximately 10:34am, a Huron County OPP officer observed a dirt bike operator pass him while failing to wear a helmet.

The officer attempted to signal the driver to stop, however, the driver accelerated and took off in a field.

An investigation following the incident assisted the officer in locating the driver at a residence in Walton.

Once the identity of the driver was confirmed, they were placed under arrest.

The 33 year old from Huron East was charged with Flight from Peace Officer, Driving While Under Suspension, and Fail to Wear Proper Helmet on a Motorcycle.

The accused has a court appearance on July 4 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
