Van Allen Insurance held their annual charity BBQ for Cystic Fibrosis for the first time since 2019, and the turnout was a major success.
Pre orders saw 350 hamburgers to complete with the bbq starting out at 11:30 and with 500 burgers ordered with support from McIntosh Farms gone before noon with plenty of extra support pouring in.
In terms of total raised in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, it’s still being counted but Shane Van Allen says, its beyond what he had hoped.
“We had big hopes to hit $4000 and as of right now (Friday morning) we’re still counting but it’s $15,500 for Cystic Fibrosis’ said Van Allen.
Van Allen adds the support from the entire community is what makes events like the charity BBQ possible and is forever grateful.
