The North Perth & District ATV Club were kept busy this past weekend as they took part in a nature cleanup in and around the country block of Tremaine & Line 84.
They went around the area on their ATVs, a jeep and a trailer.
Local thanks were given from Dave Johnston of Maplevue Farms who dropped by during the initiative.
In terms of what they found in their efforts Shawn Thompson, President of the ATV Club says it was pretty much everything.
“We found a couple of full garbage bags, torn up on the side of the road, mostly plastic bottles, beer cans all that kind of stuff.”
The garbage that is dumped illegally poses not only a risk to the environment as the area is agricultural but also to the animals that live on some of the fields.
