Kay Ayres named 2022 Senior of the Year by Wellington North Council

Lennox says of Ayres that she is a remarkable, warmhearted member of the community and is devoted to making Wellington North a great place to live, work and play.

The Council of the Township of Wellington North, on behalf of the Honourable Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility and the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell Lieutenant Governor of Ontario presented the 2022 Senior of the Year Award to Kay Ayres at last night’s council meeting.

Mayor Lennox said of Ayres that should a project arise, Kay is always willing to roll up her sleeves and get the job done.

Officially or unofficially he said that she is involved in many volunteer projects and organizations including the Mount Forest Seniors Group, the Senior Centre of Excellence and 100 Women Who Care Rural Wellington.

Lennox added that she is a remarkable, warmhearted member of the community and is devoted to making Wellington North a great place to live, work and play.
