North Perth is another step closer to having a dog park in Listowel.
Discussion on this topic dates back to last fall when staff began to dig deep into planning out having a park.
Council discussed the topic as staff have worked with volunteers in a 10 step process to having a park in town.
Manager of Programs, Jeff Newell says the proposed location is near the Steve Kerr.
“It is back behind what is the soccer field at the Steve Kerr. The primary benefits of this site include it is centrally located in the most densely populated area in the municipality” said Newell.
The Monkton Lions also expressed interest in having a dog park in their area and will be discussed at a later date.
