The Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service is expanding the hours it dispatches the ambulance from the Drayton area instead of travelling from neighbouring communities. The News was delivered at the March 22nd Township of Mapleton Council Meeting by Mapleton Fire Chief Rick Richardson.

“The Guelph Paramedic Service they have changed as of Sunday, March 24th to a 24 hour service in Drayton. Instead of an Ambulance being there from 8 am until 8pm 7 days a week, it’s now at the Drayton Hall 24 hours a day. It’s going to be dispatched from the John Street location but that’s not ready yet and they are thinking May now.”

Once the conversion of the Public Works Facility is complete the dispatch of the Ambulance Service will move from the Drayton Fire Hall to John Street.
