Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece held a press conference today to announce that four long term care homes will receive 166 new total beds and have 282 beds upgraded.
This, says Pettapiece, is part of the government’s $6.4 billion committment to build more than 30,000 net new beds by 2028 and have 28,000 existing beds upgraded across Ontario.
Pettapiece says that he has always spoke up for his local long-term care homes, and says it’s very encouraging that the government is delivering the beds we need.
The new allocation of beds will mean three new buildings for existing long-term care homes.
