The Upper Grand District School Board has launched a three part program to support both elementary and secondary school students.

With the help of the Ministry of Education, the school board received just under $4 million to support learning recovery programs.

The funding will put forward to include reading programs, student success initiatives and summer programming.

The first phase will kick off this spring for reading programs and supporting students who are struggling in current classes.

Phase 2 will run throughout the summer with literacy camps and learning strategy courses with phase 3 starting in September which will be the same as phase 1.

Schools will reach out to parents for additional support as its made available.
