Owners of Off Road Vehicles in Wellington County have reason to celebrate; all of the communities that make up the area have decided to permit the use of the recreational vehicles on their roadways.
The Province passed overall legislation on the topic at the start of last year, which permitted ORVs on all roadways listed unless a certain area decided to opt-out and issue a prohibiting bylaw.
All areas in the County permit the vehicles without restrict on their roads except Guelph/Eramosa, Erin and Minto who restrict their hours or use and exact locations.
Bordering county roads themselves are still being discussed so for the time being ORVs can only be used in the communities themselves.
