With the current forecast of heavy rain and more anticipated snowfall, the Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch for the entirety of the Grand River watershed.
The GRCA expects runoff and potential for ice movement.
The weather continues to call for more rain, ice pellets and heavy snowfall at times between Thursday and Friday with warmer conditions resulting in melting of snow packs which could cause runoff into local waterways and increase the risk of flooding in low lying areas.
Significant flooding is not anticipated according to the conservation authority.
