Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health says the peak of the current wave of the pandemic is behind us and is pushing to see what public health measures can now be eased.
The province is currently set to lift capacity limits in indoor settings which require proof of vaccination on February 21st.
Many have pressured Premier Doug Ford to move the timeline and fast track the reopening.
Dr. Moore’s adds he suggested the province could reconsider the vaccine passport system, which goes against what Health Minister Christine Elliot said on Wednesday where she said there were no plans to lifting such measures.
