Palmerston Resident Charged with Arson after 2 Fires on White’s Trail

28 year old Female Charged with 2 Counts after Suspicious Fires in April, 2020 and June, 2021.

Wellington County OPP’s Major Crime Unit have charged a person in relation to two fires on the White’s Trial in Palmerston.

On April 11th in 2020 at approximately 7:30pm, officers responded to a reported suspicious fire on the White’s Trail near Wellington Road 5.

Officers were back to the same site just after 1:30 pm on June 2nd the next year on reports of another suspicious fire also at White’s Trail.

In both cases the Minto Fire Department attended and put out the fire at a cost of $3000 per fire.

As a result of the investigation a 28 year old female of Palmerston has been charged with two counts of Arson. The accused is scheduled to appear a Guelph court.
