Perth County OPP continue to remind residents to “Lock it or Lose It” as a string of thefts from vehicles left unlocked in Listowel over the last week.

On Thursday January 20th at around 2am, police received a report of two male suspects entering unlocked vehicles on Krotz Street East.

Police determined the suspects had checked vehicle doors at around 70 residences, entering 16 which were left unlocked.

At a rate of almost 25% of vehicles being left unlocked, Perth County OPP are asking residences to make sure they keep their vehicles locked and consider installing security features such as increased lighting, cameras or alarms.
