The Seniors Home Safety Tax Credit is being extended another year says Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece.
He adds this is great news for seniors within the area who will be able to enjoy the comfort of their home for as long as they want.
This marks the 2nd year the tax credit has been available to seniors to cover things such as renovations to make their homes more safer and accessible.
The credit allows to 25 per cent of up to a maximum of $10,000 per household to claim on eligible expenses.
The credit will provide around $30 million in support to around 27,000 people.
The tax credit can be claimed while filing personal income tax returns for the 2021 year.
