Teachers unions are expressing their concerns to parents as students in Ontario will return for in person instruction next week.
The Elementary Teachers Federation and Secondary School Teachers Federation are both calling for COVID-19 testing, tracing and monitoring as a list of measures to ensure a safe return to school.
As it currently stands, the Ministry of Health guidance only has take home PCR tests for those students and staff who become symptomatic while at school.
Teachers unions are warning parents to be prepared for more interruptions.
