The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance has declared an outbreak of Covid-19 on the Inpatient Surgery Unit at the Stratford General Hospital site as of January 7, 2022.
The announcement was made after two patients tested positive.
The unit is now closed to admissions until further notice. The Operating Rooms and their Surgical Ambulatory Care Clinic are not impacted by the outbreak status.
Emergency/urgent surgeries will continue and those patients will be admitted to another unit for their recovery.
