Equipment Ontario, formerly Stoltz Sales & Equipment in Listowel is supporting its employees and the community with the launch of Nickel Forward.
The program helps workers in times of need which adds support for employees who have to go through tough situations such as family illness, death or loss of property.
Bryan Long who works in the service department came up with the idea along with fellow employees is to take 5 cents off every hour and put it aside for a day when a co-worker would be in need.
This year $4000 was pooled in the program.
In years when no employees are in need, Equipment Ontario will make use of the funds to donate, such as this year with a donation to It Takes a Village.
