School is back in session at Elma Township public school, the Avon Maitland District School Board has confirmed.
The elementary school in Atwood has been closed for the past few weeks due to a COVID-19 outbreak which was first declared on November 29th by Huron-Perth Public Health.
The school remains in outbreak status as 14 days must pass by from the last confirmed case before it can be declared over.
School was set to return on Monday but additional reported cases earlier last week prompted public health to delay to return to in person learning by one day.
