Enbridge Gas is supporting the St Marys Fire Department with purchasing firefighting training materials through the Safe Community Project Assist program.
The program, with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council supply’s existing training for Ontario volunteer and composite fire departments in communities where Enbridge operates.
This year, Enbridge Gas has donated $250,000 to be shared by 50 Ontario fire departments which will include St Marys, who received $5000.
Fire Chief Richard Anderson says the donation has allowed them to purchase important education training materials and ensure firefighters stay up to date on the latest of new techniques on fire safety.
