The West Region OPP traffic Incident Management Team were conducting a R.I.D.E. spot check on Highway 6 near 4th Line of Centre Wellington when a commercial driver entered the checkpoint.
The driver a 34 year old male of Bluevale was subsequently charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired.
His license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for 7 days.
He is scheduled to appear at a Guelph court at a later day.
Police say if you suspect anyone of driving while impaired, by either drugs or alcohol, to call police at 911 to report it.
