A distribution warehouse is being proposed in south Elora pending approval of the future site plan.
Aosom Canada Inc has plans to have a 575,000 sq foot distribution warehouse at 32 First Line in Elora just east of Wellington Road 7 outside of town.
The company is similar to Amazon but imports goods from Asia.
There is currently two similar warehouses in the province with one in Oshawa and another in Scarborough.
Officials say they aren’t certain how many new jobs this would create as the warehouse will be making use of automation but is estimated at around 40-50.
If approved the goal is to have the warehouse complete by February of 2023.
