Affordable and attainable housing is seeing some hopeful solutions in both Perth County and Centre Wellington.
Perth County council has looked into a work plan to create a system for the housing crsiss which will be part of the budget process for next year.
For Centre Wellington, costs for houses and rentals has soared to levels where young residents move elsewhere.
The average cost for a rental unit in Fergus has ranged at $1500 or $1900 for a condo unit, the average house sale in the town for 2021 has been set to $1.10 million.
Centre Wellington continues to look at options with the help of the Healthy Growth Committee.
