Huron County continues to address the issues associated with homelessness and housing instability is working on both long term and immediate solutions.
Starting November 15th, the county’s Huron Out of the Cold: Heart to Home emergency shelter will reopen.
The shelter is located at Lakeshore United Church in Goderich and can keep up to 15 people per evening with meals provided throughout the winter season.
Staff will also be on site trained in trauma informed care, substance use and mental health services.
