Stratford’s Police Chief is looking into a new partnership between local police and municipal staff to address traffic and road safety issues.
The numerous issues have been brought forward by residents in Stratford, St Marys and Perth South as Police Chief Greg Skinner looks for support on the manner.
Skinner is looking for engineering and communications staff from all three municipalities to work with police monthly to review data and give reports to council and make changes to improve public safety as needed.
There is hope in the future to also include Perth County OPP in the matter.
Councilors have volunteered to work with Skinner to work on a report and bring an advisory group to a future police services board meeting.
