With the overwhelming response from the first Cindy’s Law Fire Extinguisher Giveaway, the St Marys Fire Department is doing it again this year, though the format is seeing a change.
On October 31st, 100 fire extinguishers are being given away with winners being selected for a draw format.
Anyone who wants to enter their name for a chance to win can do so by visiting TownofStMarys.com/CindysLaw.
Submissions must be made by Friday October 29th. Names will be drawn live on the St Marys Facebook page.
The giveaway is named after Cindy Devine, a St Thomas resident who while on her way to work in London on October 2nd 2020 was struck by a truck with an impaired driver.
Cindy survived the crash but her leg was pinned and while many at the scene attempted to free her, the vehicle caught fire and no fire extinguisher was available.
