Former Perth County Warden David Shearer has passed away at the age of 83.
Shearer was a longtime volunteer and public servant in Milverton who helped build the current structure of Perth County’s regional council.
Shearer served three consecutive terms as Perth County’s warden in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
He was spent much of his time volunteering in Milverton and serving as chair at Knollcrest Lodge and with the St Pauls United Church.
Flags at all county buildings will remain lowered until Friday.
Shearer passed away peacefully with family at Knollcrest Lodge.
