Despite some hesitancy, Erin council will be moving ahead to relaunch the town’s chamber of commerce.
Erin will be contributing $5000 in hopes to bring it back as council had been directing staff to look into the feasibility and associated costs to support a relaunch of the Erin Chamber of Commerce on a 12-18 month trial basis.
Staff had recommended $5000 be allocated which would cover advertising and promotion leading to the proposed January relaunch.
While some councilors were hesitant saying the money wouldn’t be enough to get the chamber off the ground, they ultimately approved to go ahead and work to relaunch the chamber.
