The Municipality of North Perth is working alongside a wide range of other organizations as well as the City of Stratford to help provide collaborative action on homelessness and affordable housing in the area.
The vision is to ensure everyone has the right to a home which is safe, suitable and affordable all of which supports them to keep them safe and secure in their home.
There are a wide range of initiatives out in the community with goals set to ensure affordable housing including United Way Perth-Hurons Homelessness Committee, HOPE Links North Perth with The Salvation Army, Mayor Kasenbergs Task Force on Affordable Housing.
There are also many long term objectives planned out on ending homelessness and addressing the local housing crisis.
