Residents Express Concern on Increase to Subdivision in Palmerston

Residents concerned mostly about increase in traffic

Some residents are concerned about levels of traffic and other issues which could arise from a proposal to increase the density of a planned subdivision in Palmerston.

A proposed draft plan of a subdivision and zoning bylaw amendment for the Clair Ridges area in town was talked about at a Town of Minto public meeting on September 7th.

Galaxy Homes who is seeking to increase the density of the subdivision from 27 to 40 units with a mix of semi-detached homes into a plan which originally was planned for 27 single family homes.

6 letters have been sent expressing concerns between increased traffic to increased property values.

Staff will finalize proposed revisions and report back to council. Should council approve the draft plan, staff will go forward with the process to amend the zoning bylaw.
