With the upcoming Federal Election occurring on September 20th there is an anticipated high number of those eligible to be voting by mail.
The deadline to apply to vote by mail is Tuesday, September 14th by 6pm.
The process to cast your ballot once you receive it is very specific in order for it to count.
What needs to be written on your ballot is the first and last name of your chosen candidate spelled corrected.
You do not need to write their political party but if you do it still will be counted as long as the full name is correct as well.
You then need to seal it within the provided unmarked envelope and then put it in the self addressed envelope provided.
You can either drop your ballot in the mail to have it counted if it arrives by election day or you can also drop it in the ballot box at your local Elections Canada office.
You can find more information on voting by mail below.
