With school in session, many concerns for parents with younger children remains to be when can their kids get vaccinated.
Medical Officer of Health for Huron Perth, Dr. Miriam Klassen says while trials are underway, it can still take time before COVID-19 vaccine will be approved for use for those 11 and under, she adds public health will be ready quickly.
“Huron Perth Public Health will be ready to very quickly implement a vaccination in a pediatric age group as soon as it is available. My understanding is they are looking at 5-11 years old” said Dr. Klassen
As of September 7th just under 75 percent of those 12 and over are fully vaccinated in Huron-Perth
