Huron County OPP Investigating Election Sign Vandalism

OPP reminding residents its a crime to vandalize election signs

Huron County OPP are looking into separate mischief incidents regarding vandalizing political signs. Election signs were found to be damaged off Harriston Road near Gorrie.

OPP received a report on Tuesday of election signs being damaged. OPP are reminding residents its a criminal offense to remove or damage official election signs on public property.

If a sign has been placed on your property without your permission you can remove the sign or contact the candidate of the party to inform them you did not request a sign.

Complaints or allegations of wrongdoing regarding election signs during the election can be done by writing to the Office of the Commissioner of Canada Elections.
