The 2nd Shine Your Light Sunflower Tour at the Ottens farm near Moorefield this past Saturday was a great success.
The sunflower tour was launched last year by farm owners Matt and Leona Ottens to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. Matt passed away this year in an incident on Conestogo Lake on June 13th but Leona decided to keep going with the event for this year.
Funds for this year were donated to the Palmerston & District Hospital Foundation.
A total of $20,450 was raised from the sunflower tour event for the hospital foundations equipment wish list
