Former Premier, Bill Davis Passes Away at 92

Davis won four elections, serving from 1971-1985

Bill Davis, the 18th Premier of Ontario, one of the longest serving Premiers has passed away at 92.

A statement from his family says he died of natural causes in Brampton on Sunday morning. Davis who was often called Ontario’s Education Premier held the position from 1971-1985 taking over for John Robarts.

Davis won four elections and two minority governments book ended by two majorities.
