There has been an update in the investigation of the fatal collision near Elora that occured Sunday evening at 9:50pm.
The serious crash of a coupe and SUV on Wellington Road 21 near the Eighth Line resulted in a 25 year old male passenger passenger of the coupe being pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other occupants of the same vehicle were transported to a trauma hospital with serious injuries.
A 24 year old male of Kitchener has been charged with dangerous operation causing death, two counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm and driving while license under suspension.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on August 31, 2021 to answer to the charges.
Wellington County OPP and the Technical Collision Investigators continue to investigate the collision.
