The Federal Government announced revised travel restrictions for travelers arriving to Canada as of August the 9th from the US as long as they are fully vaccinated with 2 doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine.

They do note that a reciprocal agreement for the other way for travelers has not been announced by the US.

International fully vaccinated travelers from Countries other than the US will be permitted as of September 7th.

Travelers will need to utilize the ArriveCAN app on their smart phone to submit all required proof-of-vaccine and negative test result documents prior to arriving at the airport. They will also need to provide a quarantine plan to officials at the airport.

A modified surveillance based Covid-19 testing for vaccinated travelers at the airport. These will be done on a random basis. Unvaccinated travelers will face all previous testing restrictions.

On-site testing will be available at airports for those travelers travelling for less than 72 hours. They will eliminate temperature screening of vaccinated passengers as of August 9th as well.

They have also added 5 additional airports where international flights will be allowed to land.

Children of fully vaccinated parents and adult children are able to travel with their families but are expected to have isolated themselves from child care, schools or other congregate settings for at least 14 days prior to travel.
