HPPH looking for dogs involved in 2 recent biting incidents

Biting incidents happened at Memorial Park in Listowel and by Avon River in Stratford

Huron Perth Public Health is looking for 2 dogs involved in separate biting incidents.

The first incident took place late afternoon/early evening on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Memorial Park in Listowel. The victim was near the skate park when they were bitten.

The dog involved in the incident is described as beagle like, brown and medium sized. it was accompanied by 1 male.

The second incident occurred early evening on Thursday, July 8, 2021 along the Avon River in Stratford. The victim was sitting on a bench near the Stratford Lions Pool when they were bitten.

The dog involved in this incident is described as a golden retriever like, medium sized with short hair. It was accompanied by one male.

HPPPH is investigating these incidents to verify if the dogs have up-to date rabies shots. If the dogs are not found, the persons who were bitten may need to complete a series of rabies shots.
